Our First Night on Stage: Fund The Laramie Project

Our First Night on Stage: Fund The Laramie Project

The Creative Pride Foundation is a new 501©(3) nonprofit and program of Prism Entertainment Group LLC, using the performing arts to help LGBTQIA+ young adults across the Coachella Valley build pride, confidence, and community — on stages where the generation that fought for today’s freedoms performs alongside the generation writing what comes next.

This spring, we take the stage for the first time with The Laramie Project, presented for two nights at the Palm Springs Art Museum. Written by Moisés Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Project, it tells the true story of Laramie, Wyoming in the aftermath of the murder of Matthew Shepard — a story about hate, memory, and a community’s reckoning that speaks directly to why Creative Pride exists.

As a brand-new organization, we’re building this production, and this foundation, from the ground up. Every gift — from a first-time individual donor to a founding corporate sponsor — goes directly toward mounting a fully realized, professional-caliber production and toward the free classes, scholarships, and open doors that follow it. Help us reach $20,000 and give this community its first night on stage.
